Blair Scum

The following extract was taken from a Usenet Newsgroup posting a while back. It is still remevant today as the media are still scared to report the facts...

'On or around Thursday 13th May 2004 Tony Blair's 16 year old daughter Kathryn
attempted to commit suicide. She is in the middle of exams, believed to be
GCSE's and took an overdose of unknown pills. She was rushed to hospital and a
news blackout was requested by the PM's office and adhered to by the British
Press. Katherine is believed to be studying at the Sacred Heart school in
Hammersmith, West London, a Roman Catholic state secondary school.
News about the suicide attempt was confirmed by Alan Johnson, Labour MP for
West Hull and Hessle.
So, was this a sudden pang of concience from the British tabloids over
sensitive reporting of the PM's family? Or the establishment press (yes even
the tabloids are owned by the establishment) kow-towing to protect the
flagging public image of the most disasterous Prime Minister this country has
ever seen just before local and European Elections?
In a democracy, the public have a right to know about the family failings of
anyone in public office - it enables them to judge whether to vote for that
individual or not. When that failing family is the Prime Ministers the press
have a duty to inform the public - not to protect politicians' images from
public scrutiny.'

She apparently attempted suicide after being constantly given a hard time at school because of her father's decision to wage an unlawful war on the people of Iraq. Would you carry on having people killed when it may result in your own daughter taking her own life? The fact that his daughter's actions had no affect on him gives us a true insight into the character of the Prime Minister.

I could not disagree with you more on your entire misguided assessment.
Though I myself have my differences with Blair and his government I think that some of the positions that he has taken with regard to protecting his country against terror have been quite honourable.
And if you cannot handle the fact that Blair is doing his best to protect Britain from terrorism, maybe you should consider relocating somewhere terrorism is officially tolerated by the government.
Welcome to SmackDown! Kodeine and I sincerely hope you make yourself at home.

Re: Blair Scum

He's done nothing to protect this country from terrorism. We didn't have a problem with muslim terrorism until he waged an illegal war on Iraq. Now we do have a problem. His corrupt government have had a policy of unlimited immigration into this country. The Home Office have recently admitted that they have absolutely no idea as to the ammount of illegal immigrants we have here. He signed us up to be bound by the European Human Rights Act - an act which continually undermimes our authority as to how we should treat terrorist suspects and prisoners. And to add insult to injury, people are being arrested for daring to speak out against the illegal war which has bought about the terrorist attacks that we have been the victims of (did you hear about the old-age pensioner that was manhandled, evicted and arrested for saying (not shouting) "nonsense" during a debate on the Iraq war, at the Labour Party conference ...or the lady that was arrested for reciting the names of those soldiers killed in Iraq near the Cenotaph War Memorial near Downing Street). None of this is honourable.

Then what do you call the feat of halting a massive terror plot on Thursday? I would say that without him and his government we might well have seen thousands of people, maybe a few of your neighbours amongst them, sink into the Atlantic Ocean after liquid explosives were set off on a trans-Atlantic flight...

Re: Blair Scum

The halting of the alleged terrorist plot on Thursday had absolutely nothing to do with Tony Blair. It was the responsibility of the british security forces which operate outside of party politics. They collect and use intelligence and conduct their operations regardless of who is in power. Although the Prime Minister of the country is ultimately responsible for security, he does not conduct operations. John Reid, the Home Secretary announced a few days ago that Britain is more at risk now than at any time since World War 2 - in other words, more at risk under the Blair government; more at risk since waging an illegal war on Iraq and lying about WMDs and not intent on regime change in Iraq. We have a very large ammount of muslims here in Londonistan and everyday on radio talk programmes thay call in, all with basically the same message - that it's down to Blair's foreign policy that they feel anger and hatred towards this regime.
Incidently, you may be interested in an article at http://www.thetruthseeker.co.uk/article.asp?ID=4956 ...I don't subscribe wholesale to conspiracy theories, but I don't discount them either and I thought this article was quite interesting, although I also think that the alleged plot also had something to do with giving Blair more reason to take away more of our civil liberties.

OK. I will give you that. It is important for law enforcement to act without regard to partisan politics. And the enforcement agencies worked very fluidly in effort to shut down the terror plot.
It is maddening to think, and I just read an NDTV article about this, that explosives could be made from common household products...
Blair may not be the greatest PM in UK history but the one area where he has succeeded---the War On Terror---he DOES deserve some credit, including doing more to prevent radical imams from spewing their venomous hatred than the US do.
In the UK radical imams get deported. In the US radical imams get the ACLU and the Council for American Islamic Relations (CAIR) and International ANSWER AND THE MEDIA to defend them.
