Why Won't Congress Pass A Comprehensive Energy Policy?
In light of the recent fuel price spikes and other economic concerns the White House Press Secretary Scott McClellan briefed the media yesterday afternoon about the difficulties we have faced in meeting our energy needs.

Re: Why Won't Congress Pass A Comprehensive Energy Policy?
You are absolutely right Blacky and I have to agree: There is certainly no need to complain especially if you are unwilling to allow exploration for oil or at least acknowledge that foreign demand has risen significantly in the past few years especially as the Asian economies led by China and India grow rapidly...
Welcome to SMACKDOWN! Blacky...Make yourself at home! I am glad to see you made your way here...
BTW check out the forums RAW IS SOUTH ASIA POLITICS and PoliticalSmackDown!EastAsia for more information about the growing automotive production in China and India which relate to this, also PoliticalSmackDown! Indochina has a thread about an automaker in Malaysia that is producing Audis under licence for a growing car market there...

Ok Badd, got ya on that one...
I also appreciate the classic American muscle cars as well as some of the foreign vehicles, some of the European models really do interest me...
Although I am pleased to see that GM Ford and Chrysler are bringing out some new models and even reviving a few old ones...
Dodge has done a great job with the new Magnum for one example...

Yo Lucifer...a more detailed explanation of high fuel prices...
Insufficient US refinery capacity, growing economies round the world, and Opec strategy are all amongst key factors in the current prices of petrol and diesel.

Re: Why Won't Congress Pass A Comprehensive Energy Policy?
The House approved a far-ranging energy bill Thursday that would open an Alaska wildlife refuge to oil drilling and shield makers of a controversial gasoline additive from environmental lawsuits - both issues likely to meet strong opposition in the Senate.
