NY: Restaurants Remove Calorie Information
Wendy's, White Castle, and Quiznos removed nutritional info from their New York City stores or web sites Friday in an effort to get around a new local law that changes the way restaurants are required to post the information.
The new city rule, which goes into effect in July, only applies to restaurants that voluntarily provided calorie information in some form on or after March 1st.
It requires those restaurants to put calorie content on menu boards in the same font size as prices and product names.
