Bonus payout policy

Hi,
I have resigned from my company in the third week of May. As part of the CTC, an annual bonus amount is included. This CTC amount is for the financial year - that is, from Apr 1 to March 31st. But, as per the company policy, if a person is not employed on the day of bonus payout, he is not eligible for the bonus amount. The bonus payout falls in the first week of June.
So, just because of a matter of two weeks I am losing my entire annual bonus, even though I have worked for the entire financial year. As per HR, they can't do anything because it is the company policy.
Could you please guide me if there is any option for me to take a legal action, as I have been denied from my rightful bonus earnings, just because of their policy.

Please help...

I didn't find the right solution from the Internet.
